The Whipping Man

Being haunted by the voice of his physically abusive mother, Michael (The Whipping Man) becomes a moral serial-killer, believing that he is somehow correcting a wrong in society. After he impregnates his nanny at age fourteen and he fathers a child by her, he spends his adult life searching for his long lost son.

Michael goes about killing women who physically abuse their children, as he simultaneously attempts to locate his son that was given up for adoption nearly twenty-five years earlier. Slash after bloody slash, The Whipping Man would have his revenge on a corrupt system. Once he finds his son, who is now a police officer, he discovers that he too has been copying his murders and posing as The Whipping Man. Fearing that he might be hearing the voices too, Michael is found in a race against time to try to save his son before the police kills him.

Detective Paris (Ponch) Green, who has a serious Napoleon Complex, has never forgotten the promise he made to his dead wife. But after his close friend is killed by The Whipping Man Ponch realizes that he must abandon his promise for the time being, before these two serial-killers wreak havoc upon the city. With the city now in the grips of fear and his superiors breathing down his neck, Ponch realizes that he must now go to the other side.

The plot thickens for Ponch, and the suspense heightens after he discovers that the DA whom he hates and works for is actually the brother of The Whipping Man and his partner is the son of The Whipping Man. Ponch is now faced with a huge moral dilemma, whether or not to take down a fellow police officer and kill the DA’s brother. His answer is soon found in the words of wisdom his father gave to him many years earlier.
